JOHN L. HENNESSY AND DAVID A. PATTERSON ARE RECIPIENTS OF THE 2017 ACM TURING AWARD
John L. Hennessy and David A. Patterson are recipients of the 2017 ACM Turing Award for pioneering a systematic, quantitative approach to the design and evaluation of computer architectures with enduring impact on the microprocessor industry. Since 1966, ACM (https://www.acm.org/) has awarded Turing Awards for the greatest achievements in the field of computing. Over the years, this award has become the most prestigious award in the technical field. Often also called "Nobel Prize of computing".
