Our student Kristjan Stopar won the first prize award at the IEEE Region 8 Student Paper Contest (https://ieeer8.org/student-activities/spc2020result/). Together with his student colleagues Pia Žnidaršič and Urban Košale he developed a device for kinesthetic navigation of the blind and visually impaired. The final competition of the IEEE Region 8 Student Paper Contest has been organized in the framework of IEEE MELECON 2020 international conference (http://melecon2020.org/). Under supervision of assistant Jernej Kranjec and Prof. Aleš Holobar, Kristjan won the first prize award, despite being only in his 2nd year of the 1st Cycle Bologna Study Programme Computer Science and Information Technologies.
