On Wednesday, January 29, 2020, we organized a workshop on programming for mobile devices at Slave Klavore Elementary School, Maribor. We used the MIT App Inventor. Children were taught by Marjan Horvat, technical staff of the Laboratory for Programming Methodology and Dragana Ostojić, a student from program Computer Science and Information Technologies at FERI, UM.

Students developed the following applications: application text(numbers)-to-speech in a specific language (Italian, German, Spanish and French), a multimedia application, a game using a tablet accelerometer, a shape calculator, etc. Students actively participated as programmers in the workshop and learned a lot about programming for mobile devices.

Prof. Silvo Muršec once again made sure that we were warmly welcomed at the Slave Klavore Maribor Elementary School and we thank him for the invitation.
